My dear Father Declan,

I still await acknowledgment of the Faculties I sent you. As regards Hall,I discussed the matter with Father Eugene When on Visitation.

The historical fact is that the Hall had to be closed. I do not want that necessity to occur again.

Hence my decision is that since the Hall was handed over by me to the College authorities, you may use it with permission from the College and in a way satisfactory to them. You can discuss the matter with Father Eugene.

You will, I am sure, appreciate my responsibility, and since you were not on the spot to realise some of the trouble to which the Hall gave rise in the past,it is as well that I make it plain to you now.

I would ask you therefore, to be very circumspect in the use that you make of the Hall.

Fraternally yours in Christ and Saint Francis,

Minister Provincial.
