Final Drive For Baby Ford at Arcadia
Arrangements for the final Drive for Baby Ford at Arcadia to-morrow (friday) are now complete. Two hundred tables have ben arranged n the ballroom floor, and one hundred on the spacious balconies, giving ample room to the patrons to play in comfort, and to the stewards to supervise in an efficient manner. To give the Drive an added fillip, the Committee have added another £10 to the advertised list of prizes, so that in the event of the top score being low to-morrow night, £20 will be given as an alternative. Otherwise, the other winners will get the benefit of this £10. Also the top for miniature drive will be £5. There will be two entrances- one for ticketholders and other for cash, and the Committee would like to remind ticketholders to be there before 8.15, to give non-ticketholders an opportunity to get accomodation. As this will be the last Drive Fr.Mathew Hall will hold till after the City Missions, it is to be hoped that patrons from the city and county will participate, and, instead of walking, they may be driving home in a Baby Ford value £140, costing 2/6. Tickets on sale at M.Roche't, Elvery's, Desmonds etc.
