Re: 1972 Valuation Appeal/ Fr. Mathew Hall: R.V £120.

Dear Fr. Senan,

The Commissioner's decision herein has now been officially issued and is as already outlined, vix. the R.V. £120 has been reduced to R.V. £60.

On the assumption therefore that you have already paid 1st Moiety Rates for this year, 2nd Moiety Rates will be Nil, unless there is a separate charge for Contrast Water.

As mentioned, the annual saving amounts to £460 at current rate levels.

If, as you expect, the Hall may cease to be used for commercial purposes (Bingo) and reverts to being more or less a full time theatre it might be worthwhile trying for a further reduction in the valuation when this occurs. In this connection it is to be noted that the statutory date limit for applications for downward revision is 15th June 1973.

Yours sincerely,

P.P Donal O'Buachalla & Company Ltd.
